Why aren’t more people using video to market their business? This is the #1 question I ask myself, and others.
Believe it or not, two key issues stand in between most people’s effort at video marketing.
  1. They fear that they don’t know how to do the “techie stuff.”
  2. They fear that they will look “stupid” on camera.

video marketing tips and tricksUltimately, both of these are REALLY just one huge obstacle: FEAR. Luckily, fear is not that big of a deal, as long as you can get yourself to take action. Move beyond the fear. Face it and do it any way.

Let’s look at how these two fears are in fact, “Self-Imposed.”

Fear of the techie stuff: If video marketing was important enough, could you take 20 minutes a day to learn how to do it? Is learning how to manipulate software, easy software at that, an impossibility for you? Not only is it not, you’ve probably learned much more difficult stuff in the past.

Fear of looking stupid: This insidious fear rears it’s ugly face whenever we attempt to go out of our comfort zone. The truth is that every time you do something new, you are going to be uncomfortable. That is part of the process. It comes with the territory. It’s part of the growth process. Totally avoiding the feelings of discomfort is a prison of your own making.

So when it’s all said and done, picking up the skills of a video marketer are well worth the time and effort. If you commit just a few minutes daily, within a short period of time YOU WILL MASTER this skill. Push yourself. Find the right mentors. Dare to look foolish. And soon, others will look at you with a new sense of admiration, simply because you did what others were afraid to do.

Remember, “It’s your time to shine!”
